We are in immediate need of drivers and extras to help with pick up and deliveries of used mobility aid equipment.
Personal Assistive Device (P.A.D) Program Volunteer (s)
- You will be responsible for picking up/dropping off used mobility aid equipment (such as power +regular wheelchairs, scooters, bathroom devices etc.) to community members in need
- We require you to have a driver’s license and truck (mileage will be reimbursed)
- As our PAD volunteer, you will be responsible for identifying the changes in inventory and tracking the equipment you have delivered and received
- We are looking for a person with excellent communication skills, technological skills, and work ethic
- This is a rewarding job as you will be supporting members of your community living with disabilities, and allowing them to gain independence and freedom in their daily lives
- Flexible hours (weekday or weekend) depending on your availability (approx. 10 hours per week)
- We require a criminal record check (free through Langley Pos-Abilities) before welcoming you to our volunteer staff

General Langley Pos-Abilities Volunteer
This general position offers many different opportunities to contribute to our Society and your community. As COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, we need volunteers to help organize and run our monthly community events. In the past we have held large events such as our “Try On A Disability” Day and smaller events such as our fashion show, bar night, and 50/50 draw. Board Member
Langley Pos-Abilities is seeking an additional board member with leadership experience to join the board of our non-profit organization. The board meets once a month to set objectives, oversee current programs, and create policy to uphold the standards and expectations of the Society. Current board members enjoy volunteering their time, actively contribute to our organization, and have a passion for serving those who live with disabilities. If you have previous experience leading non-profit organizations or have experience working with individuals with disabilities, please consider joining our board today.
Personal Assistive Devices (PAD) Program Driver
Langley Pos-Abilities is looking for volunteers who are passionate about serving members of their community living with disabilities and want to make a direct difference in these individuals’ lives. Our Society requires individuals who are able to pick up and deliver donated medical equipment and assistive devices with the use of their own personal vehicle. This position would include sanitizing donated equipment according to our Covid-19 safety protocols. This opportunity is one way that you directly serve members of your community and make a positive impact upon our client’s quality of life. All mileage is reimbursed for volunteers using their own vehicle.
Personal Assistive Devices (PAD) Program Volunteer
Langley Pos-Abilities has been serving our community for over eleven years by providing assistive devices to those who cannot afford them. Medical equipment can dramatically improve the quality of life for those that live with a disability. Our Society has received many powerful testimonials from our clients who are directly impacted by this program and by the volunteers who help support it. We are currently looking for new volunteers willing to transport assistive devices to those in need. Newly acquired medical equipment will be disinfected prior to transport to client’s homes according to our Covid-19 protocols. Student Coordinator
Langley Pos-Abilities is seeking volunteers with strong leadership skills to manage student volunteers. As our organization grows, there are a growing number of students who are looking to serve their community and those who live with disabilities. Student Coordinators oversee our student volunteers and our student supported projects. Successful applicants have strong leadership skills, are effective communicators, and enjoy working in team environments. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Project Lead: Google Ads
Langley Pos-Abilities requires a volunteer to create and manage our Society’s google ads campaigns. This position would include reformatting our current website, search engine optimization, and campaign management. We are looking for a volunteer with marketing experience and an interest in website design. This project may be supported with a team of volunteers depending on the successful applicant’s availability and preference.
T.O.A.D. Program Volunteer
We need individuals to help organize, set up, and facilitate our Try On A Disability Program. The responsibilities for this position include organization of large- and small-scale events, setting up the T.O.A.D. obstacle course which requires lifting of 50 lbs, and facilitating the program to community members of all ages. Social Media Coordinator: Youtube
Langley Pos-Abilities is seeking a volunteer who has experience in videography, video editing, and content creation. We are looking to start a number of video projects this year and could also use help managing our YouTube Channel. Fundraising Committee Member
Langley Pos-Abilities needs more individuals who have experience fundraising and networking with various donors. This position would involve working with like-minded individuals on fundraising committees, creating fundraising strategies, and organizing various fundraising events. This position may include the creation of promotional materials and increasing community awareness of current Langley Pos-Abilities projects.
