Revised COVID-19 Policy for Personal Assistive Devices Requests/Donations
Langley Pos-Abilities Society has now revised the COVID-19 Policy for volunteers to perform pick ups and deliveries for all personal assistive devices. The health and well being for yourself and all of our volunteers has always been of the upmost importance to the Society. If you need a personal assistive device or would like to donate a personal assistive device, please read the following changes so we may assist you in a safe manner.
Equipment Requests
Your personal assistive device will be disinfected before it is delivered. On the agreed date and time of delivery, a volunteer will be calling and asking the following questions:
- Have you had contact with anyone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
- Have you had any of these symptoms in the last 14 days?
-
- Fever greater than 37.7 or 100F
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- Cough
- Sore throat
If you have answered No to all of the previous questions:
- Volunteers will be wearing proper PPE upon arrival of the agreed date and time.
- Volunteers will follow physical and social distancing during the delivery process. You will be required to wash your hands and wear a mask before signing a Waiver and Release of Liability Form. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
If you have answered Yes to any of the previous questions:
To protect the safety of our volunteers, we will not provide our service at the agreed date and time. A later date of delivery will have to be arranged when you have been cleared by a physician.
