Langley Pos-Abilities is planning on designing an Accessibility Audit. The following statement comes from our TOAD (Try on a Disability) brochure.
“How “Persons with a Disability”-friendly is your business or workplace? Let Langley Pos-Abilities assess your accessibility. After examining your workplace, you will receive a detailed report, and if needed, we will offer ideas to improve your score. There are many low-cost or no-cost ways you can make your workplace a welcoming environment for people with disabilities. At no additional cost to you, we will revisit your workplace to re-evaluate your accessibility once adjustments have been made. Upon satisfactory completion of the examination, a certificate suitable for framing will be awarded.”
We are looking at this from the point of view of practicality and not the point of view of building code.
Therefore, we need your help. From your experience and knowledge about your challenges, we would like your input in helping to design the questions that we would pose on this audit. We are specifically looking for people with differing abilities, so we can look at as many sides of the question as possible. So, if you know someone who can help, please forward this invitation to them.
The Township of Langley is partnering with us to further this project. You are invited to attend on Saturday January 12, 2019 from 10 AM to 3 PM at ABC Rooms of the George Preston Centre 20699 42 Ave, Langley, BC V3A 3B1. Lunch will be provided.
Please RSVP by phone or our Facebook page so we can ensure that we have enough room and food for all attendees. If you need further info please contact Zosia at 604 961-0117
